But what about the poor, mostly black, inner city prostitutes, drug users, and just people who are unlucky enough to get stricken?"

They don't care because that isn't their problem. As long as their wealth is being protected, and that is all the state should do, you can do whatever you want. They also believe if you deserved to live you would have wealth in the first place. They never question that wealth can be gained through the use of harming others. Should the state step in if there was an economic agreement and people are suffering? Most libertarians would say no, because those people agreed to be there so it is okay. They can supposedly leave anytime they want.

Libertarians propose a hotel california setup for society, especially economics. If you are wealthy you can afford everything but if you are not born of wealth nor have capital you deserve nothing. In fact, based on the libertarians I read on the web, in short order they would remove all voting rights and place them in the hands of those who have wealth.

They are very similar to the state run corpratists we have now. They just don't want the state involved at all and desire to let business run society.

Another viewpoint is most libertarians blame the government for everything. It's never economic, nor is it capitalism. Obviously it is an impure form of capitalism if it isn't working correctly. So if these were the dark ages they would be fighting to destroy the kings and government while handing the keys over to the church who manipulated people and hijacked state authority as their own.

The single greatest threat America has faced, in my opinion, is Wall Street and the banks that defend them with the very life blood of the populace. The wealthy always have the advantage in bad situations because they can outlast us. And if any situation occurs, economic collapse, the value that which they have only increases.

In fact it is very possible the global wealthy want this to happen. It would benefit them greatly and let them do whatever they please if there is an economic meltdown in the US. There will be no country with any sense of Liberty and justice and that the strong have a duty to protect the weak left on this planet. And from that the wealthy will use and harm people far worse than the slavery we witnessed in the past. We just won't know why people are missing.

We are in for tough times ahead. The libertarians propose a lot of good ideas but they basically disarm the people from defending themselves and stick them into the corporate hotel california. The only way out of that hotel is to destroy yourself or destroy everything around you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
